We had a perfect day for a golf tournament at JR Golf Course, who provided us with a delicious complimentary continental breakfast. Although we had slightly less golfers this year, we still enjoyed the day. Our guests, Cole and Tyler Benson, had no problem putting with a wooden egg. They one putted the egg on the practice green. Those hockey players and their athletic prowess !! (just kidding)

The tournament raised over $5500 for Cross Cancer Institute Lite House and Volunteer Services, bringing our cumulative total for the last 10 years to over $64,700.
Thank you to the Benson family (Kevin, Leonora, Cole and Tyler) for their contribution to the tournament. Cole & Tyler arrived at JR Golf Course at 7:15 am, for a meet and greet before the tournament started. Unfortunately, Tyler had a prior NHL commitment in United States and could not stay and golf with us. At the luncheon at Blue Willow, Kevin and Leonora spoke about how it’s like to have sons with hockey talent and Cole spoke about life after hockey. One can see how committed and proud the family is of each others’ careers. We wish great success to Cole in his new career with MNP accounting firm in Edmonton and to Tyler in his hockey career. We hope to see him in an Oilers jersey this year.
